Oscar Koveleski launches flying model in test run for statewide model meet at Daleville Airport.

The Scranton Model Aircraft Association, a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics, will conduct a statewide model airplane contest under sponsorship of the Calvey Motor Co. at Daleville Airport July 13. The contest is open to all AMA members. Winners will be sent to the international contest in Detroit, sponsored by the Plymouth Motor Corp. The public is invited. Aiding in preparations are: The Tribune, YMCA, Scranton Hobby Center, Bureau of Recreation, Boy Scouts, YMHA and Exchange Club of Scranton.
